Frequently Asked Questions

What does my TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card cover besides the usual things like flight and hotel?

Your TD Points can be used to cover virtually any travel you can charge to your card: travel fees and taxes, airport parking, resort and vacation packages, cruises, train tickets, even airport limos and more.

Do I have to book my travel far in advance in order to use my TD Points?

Unlike other travel rewards plans, you don't have to plan or book months in advance to use your TD Points. Because there are no advance booking requirements or seat restrictions of any kind, you can use your points any time, even during peak periods and seat sales.

What does 'book any way' mean?

Basically, it means that you can be your own traveller. You have the flexibility to book your holiday on your card through any travel agency, website or airline and then use your TD Points to cover all or part of the cost of that travel.

How do I earn TD Points?

Every dollar you spend on your card will earn you 3 TD Points.

Can I use my TD Points to travel anywhere?

So long as you can book that travel on your TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card, then yes, your TD Points can take you far beyond the airport – to places no airplane could ever go. That's because, unlike other travel rewards cards, you can redeem your TD Points towards not just flights but airport limos, car rentals, train tickets, ferry rides – whatever it takes to get you wherever.

What is the minimum number of TD Points required before I can redeem them?

To begin redeeming your TD points, you need a minimum of only 10,000 TD Points. This equals $50 off the cost of any travel charged to your card. New accounts will receive 20,000 Bonus TD Points upon approval that you can use right away.

Will my TD Points expire?

No, your points will not expire so long as your Account remains open. If you do close your Account, your TD Points will expire (if not redeemed) within 90 days of the account closure date.

What is the process for booking travel through the TD Travel Rewards Centre?

We give you three ways to book your travel:

  1. Free Travel: Use your TD Points to cover the entire cost of your travel, including taxes and fees.
  2. Discount Travel: Use some of your TD Points to pay for your trip and charge the rest to your Card.
  3. Other Travel: You can choose to not use your TD Points (save them for other travel) and charge the full cost of your travel to your Card.

Whichever option you choose, you will have access to exclusive travel deals online at www.tdtravelrewards.com or you can call in to the TD Travel Rewards Centre to get full VIP treatment as well as expert travel advice and guidance. Whether you book online at www.tdtravelrewards.com or through the TD Travel Rewards Centre, you will earn 9 TD Points for every $1 charged to your Card if your TD Points don't cover the full cost of the trip.

If I choose to book my travel somewhere other than the TD Travel Rewards Centre (e.g. my local travel agency), what is the process for using my TD Points to pay for it?

The process is simple. As soon as the purchase is posted to your Account and provided it's within 90 days from the date of your purchase, call the TD Travel Rewards Centre at 1-800-983-1043. State the number of TD Points you wish to redeem (in increments of 10,000) and they will be deducted from your TD Points balance. The value of those TD Points will be credited to your TD First Class Travel Account. You can choose to redeem all or a portion of your TD Points towards the cost of your travel purchase.

What is an easy way to keep track of my TD Points balance?

TD Points can be tracked on your statement and via the TD Travel Rewards Centre (www.tdtravelrewards.com).

What sort of protection do I get with my TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card?

Your Card gives you added peace of mind with a range of insurance and protection features.

2. ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are of the age of majority in their Province of residence at the time of entry into the Contest. Employees, agents and representatives of TD and its subsidiaries and affiliates, its advertising and promotion agencies or their subsidiaries and affiliates, are not eligible to win, nor is any person with whom any such employee, agent or representative is domiciled.

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Entrants: "Entrant" means (a) the person who accesses the TD Canada Trust Contest landing page ("Contest Page"), registers and clicks "Enter" to enter the Contest, and (b) in respect of an Alternate Means of Entry, the person whose name is on the entry.

A) The Contest Page will be available at www.tdcanadatrust.com/firstclass. Any person can visit the Contest Page, fill out the prescribed information and click on the button "Enter" to enter the Contest. This action will generate one (1) original entry into the Contest. Entries into the Contest in this manner are limited to a maximum of one (1) per Entrant/email address for the duration of the Contest.

B) The following actions can generate extra entries into the Contest:
(i) An extra entry can be generated by the Entrant completing the Refer-A-Friend section of the Contest Page. Entries into the Contest in this manner are limited to a maximum of one (1) per Entrant (for any number of friends) for the duration of the Contest;
(ii) Extra entries can be generated by the Entrant who interacts with the Contest's Exploration Map, discovers a "Clue" and clicks the "Claim the Entry" button. There are 10 "Clues" distributed throughout the Exploration Map, so entries into the Contest in this manner are limited to a maximum of ten (10) per Entrant for the duration of the Contest;
(iii) Extra entries can be generated by the Entrant who interacts with the Exploration Map, discovers a "Clue" and emails the Clue to one (1) friend. Entries into the Contest in this manner are limited to a maximum of ten (10) per Entrant (one (1) email to one (1) friend for each of ten (10) Clues) for the duration of the Contest; and,
(iv) An extra entry can be generated by the Entrant watching the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card Video. Entries into the Contest in this manner are limited to a maximum of one (1) per Entrant for the duration of the Contest.

Once an Entrant has entered the Contest as set out in section A above, they are entered into the draw and can generate extra entries as set out in section B above, either at the time of the original entry, or they can return to the Contest Page any number of times thereafter (up to the end date of the Contest) to complete any or all of the actions which can generate extra entries. Entries into the Contest in all of these ways are limited to a maximum of a total of twenty-three (23) per Entrant/email address for the duration of the Contest.

Note: Entrants will be required to choose and declare which one (1) of the five (5) available Prizes, they wish to be eligible to win. Entrants may choose one (1) Prize and all entries (original and extra) will be processed with respect to that Prize ONLY. Entrants may not change their declaration after the original choice nor will there be any partial allocation of entries to more than one (1) Prize. There is a limit of one (1) Prize per person or household.

IMPORTANT: The Contest microsite is built for optimal viewing using Flash. If you do not have Flash, you will see the site in html, but will be prompted to download the free software from the internet to be able to view the site in Flash to fully experience the site as intended. If you decide not to use Flash, you will not be able to experience the interactive map properly and will be precluded from having access to generate any of the twenty-two (22) extra entries available.
